How long is the appointment?
For either eyebrows or lips, the entire process typically lasts around three hours. Within this timeframe, we will discuss our ultimate goals, outline the desired shape, select the appropriate color, apply numbing, and then proceed with the procedure.

How can I prepare for my appointment?
• Avoid all caffeine 24 hrs before your appointment
• Avoid any blood thinners and pain medication 72 hours before your appointment (ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc.)
• Do not drink alcohol within 24 hrs of your appointment
• Avoid using retina/retinol products near the brow area for 2 weeks before your appointment

Is a cosmetic tattoo different from a tattoo?
Yes. A tattoo is permanent and does not fade, it goes deep into the skin (the dermis). Permanent makeup, however, goes into the top layer of the skin (the epidermis). It is semi-permanent meaning it will completely fade out over time and it needs to be touched up.

Is it painful?
You will feel little to no pain. A topical anesthetic is applied to numb the area before the procedure begins and a secondary numbing will be applied throughout.

Who is NOT a candidate for cosmetic tattooing?
• If you are pregnant or nursing
• Under the age of 18
• On blood thinning medication that can not be stopped for 72 hrs
• Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
• Have previous work that is over saturated

How often do I have to come back?
It all depends on your lifestyle and skin type. I recommend you come back between 12 and 24 months for an annual touch up to keep your color looking fresh.

What is the aftercare instructions?
• Avoid sun exposure, sweating, and getting the area wet for 10 days.
• Apply a rice grain size of A&D ointment morning and night to the treated area for 7 days
• Do not apply any products (creams, makeup, face wash, ext) to the treated area for 10 days 
• Avoid using retina/retinol products near the brow area for 2 weeks before your appointment
